John spent the first chapter of his career at Penske Automotive Group (NYSE: PAG), starting in their Management Development Program. To achieve the program's goal of preparing him for a leadership position at a young age, John spent two years learning every aspect of the automotive retail dealership business model in a hands-on way. During this time he attended the 2015 PAG-NADA Dealer Academy, a 5-week program for high-potential employees.

John's first leadership role at PAG was Pre-Owned Sales Director at Mercedes-Benz of Tysons Corner, taking P&L responsibility for $40MM in annual revenue and directly managing a large and diverse mixed-white/blue collar team. Following successful sales and margin growth alongside top Employee Satisfaction scores, he was promoted to General Sales Manager where he managed a larger team and held P&L responsibility for over $130MM in annual revenue. John left PAG in July 2019 to pursue an MBA at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain, choosing the program for its emphasis on entrepreneurial career paths.

John obtained a BA in Economics & Philosophy from Georgetown University and an MBA from IE Business School. He is proficient in Spanish and his interests include history, skiing, reading, and road cycling.
